COURSE CURRICULUM

The BSc (Hons) Computer Science and Business degree is structured over three years to provide a strong foundation in both disciplines while highlighting their intersections. In the first year, students are introduced to core computer science subjects such as Discrete Structures and Fundamentals of Computer Science I and II, alongside business-focused courses including Marketing, Financial Accounting and Reporting, and Economics, complemented by two electives. In the second year, students progress to more advanced topics like Object-Oriented Design, Algorithms and Data, and Database Design in computer science, while in business they study People and Organisations, Business Statistics, and Financial Management. This year also includes an integrative course in Management Information Systems, with the option to study abroad at Northeastern University in the USA. The final year emphasizes advanced skills with computer science courses in Information Presentation and Visualisation, Software Engineering, and Large-Scale Information Storage and Retrieval. On the business side, students explore Strategic Analysis, Supply Chain Management, and choose between Fintech and Financial Innovation or Innovation!. The program culminates in an integrative final project that combines knowledge from both fields. This progression equips students with technical expertise, business acumen, and analytical skills, preparing them for versatile career opportunities.
