The "Applied Epidemiology" module provides a solid foundation in the principles, methods, and applications of epidemiology, equipping students with essential skills for understanding public health. The "Challenges in Global Public Health" module explores the global burden of diseases, focusing on issues such as health inequity, societal barriers, and the complexities of reducing health inequalities. It covers both short- and long-term responses to health emergencies, including natural and political crises, and examines the role of NGOs, data interpretation, and visualizations in global health. "Health Protection" provides critical knowledge and technical skills for managing the protection of individuals, groups, and populations from infectious diseases, environmental threats, and chemical hazards. The "Health Economics" module equips students with economic techniques and tools to apply in public health decision-making, examining both micro and macroeconomic issues in healthcare and how economic evidence informs decisions such as resource allocation and priority setting. "Health Promotion and Public Health" increases understanding of health promotion's role in various settings, exploring principles like social marketing, policy setting, and the application of prevention and intervention strategies. The "Policy and Public Health Strategy" module takes a strategic view of public health, linking academic theory with real-world practice. Students develop strategies for health improvement, integrating case studies, simulations, and structured practice learning to enhance their skills.
