COURSE CURRICULUM

The modules in this program are designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the intersection between law and technology. The Advanced Legal Analytics and AI Implementation module focuses on the development and application of AI and machine learning in legal contexts, including contract analysis and management, while addressing ethical considerations and potential biases. In Digital Transformation and Innovation in Legal Practice, students critically evaluate emerging technologies like Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Augmented/Virtual Reality (AR), and AI, and their strategic use in legal practice. The Technology and the Law module allows students to critically assess legal and policy responses to technological advancements, emphasizing interdisciplinary research on the scientific, political, economic, social, and ethical aspects of new technologies. The Technology and Legal Practice and Dispute Resolution module explores how technology is reshaping legal practices and dispute resolution, focusing on tools for online dispute resolution, courtroom technology, and digitizing judicial documentation. In Digital Compliance in Legal Practice, students gain a critical understanding of the regulatory and ethical principles that impact the use of digital technologies and data in legal contexts, ensuring compliance and safeguarding sensitive information. The Cyber and Information Security Management for Legal Practice module provides students with the knowledge to assess and manage cyber threats within the legal sector, focusing on data protection and maintaining the integrity of legal operations. The final Legal Technology Integration Project allows students to apply their knowledge and skills to an individual supervised project, solving specific problems through research or empirical study. This program equips students with the skills necessary to navigate the evolving landscape of legal technology and its applications in modern legal practice.
