The program offers a comprehensive understanding of environmental health, focusing on both theoretical knowledge and practical applications. Key modules include Environmental Stressors and Legislative Interventions, which develops administrative and communication skills, emphasizing governance and legal systems using communicable disease control as a case study. Risk and Public Protection explores risk management in public health, applying multi-disciplinary frameworks to strategic decision-making processes. Housing Standards and Intervention looks at legislative and non-legislative solutions to improve housing and local environments, focusing on building defects and suitable diagnostic treatment. The Food Safety and Control module provides students with the knowledge to manage and control food safety risks, covering legal requirements, management responsibilities, and control systems. Environmental Protection focuses on the assessment of pollution and its impact on human health, with an emphasis on sustainability and ecosystem services. The Interventions in Occupational Health and Safety module addresses risk management in workplaces, exploring safety risks related to work environment and equipment, and methods for mitigating these risks.
