The Engineering Management program offers a diverse range of modules aimed at equipping students with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in engineering management roles. The Engineering Management Group Project (60 Credits) is a three-month team-based project where students work in groups to compete for real-life contracts, such as bidding for the construction of a wind farm or finding solutions for material shortages. This project involves research, data collection, analysis, and presenting findings in a group report and presentation.The Engineering Project Management (30 Credits) module focuses on the practical application of project management methodologies and techniques. Students will learn how to manage engineering projects effectively, covering aspects of project management, program management, and project portfolios.In the Engineering Simulation (30 Credits) module, students will delve into scientific methods used to model real-world systems, applying sophisticated mathematical techniques to engineering systems. Case studies will help students understand how to validate these models against real measurements, enhancing their ability to deliver significant academic modelling work.The Human Resource Management in Engineering (15 Credits) module introduces students to human resource management techniques applicable to engineering environments. It helps students apply these techniques to manage teams and resources effectively in engineering settings.In the Financial Management in Engineering (15 Credits) module, students will learn how to use financial management tools to achieve engineering solutions, focusing on managing financial resources in engineering projects.Finally, the Logistics and Supply Chains (30 Credits) module explores the operations and structures of supply chains, emphasizing supply chain optimization, logistics, inventory management, and factory physics. Students will learn to make resource decisions and use mathematical models to plan and manage efficient supply chains.
