COURSE CURRICULUM

The program offers a comprehensive range of modules designed to equip students with advanced knowledge and practical skills in engineering, particularly in digital technologies and machine learning. The Digital Signal Processing and Communications module covers a wide range of topics, including digital filters, spectrum analysis, coding techniques, and modulation, as well as advanced topics such as 5G/6G technologies, wireless fading channels, and multiuser communications.The Digital Twin Engineering module provides a deep understanding of digital twins and their applications in industries, with a focus on IoT, data management, and machine learning algorithms. Students will gain hands-on experience in creating and applying digital twins to model and manage industrial processes.The Embedded Realtime Systems module offers a detailed exploration of real-time computing, covering the design and implementation of systems that meet time-deadline tasks under constraints on physical, hardware, and energy resources. The Engineering Sustainability module emphasizes the importance of sustainability in engineering practices, covering materials, waste management, ethics, and EDI in the workplace.Robot Manipulation introduces students to the fundamental principles of robot manipulators, such as kinematics and motion planning. Students will gain practical experience through modelling, simulating, and programming robot arms. Similarly, the Machine Learning for Engineers module allows students to explore key ML methods and algorithms, applying them to real-world applications such as robotics and communications.The Individual Project serves as a capstone experience, enabling students to consolidate their knowledge and skills by undertaking advanced engineering projects. This project provides an opportunity to develop expertise in planning, problem-solving, and implementing engineering solutions, while also refining skills in effective written and oral presentations.
