The Contemporary Theory in Criminology module explores major theoretical debates, with a focus on global relevance, helping students apply criminological theories across the curriculum. Research Strategies in Social Sciences equips students with research design principles and methodologies, emphasizing ethical considerations and decolonial perspectives in criminological research. It also enhances students' ability to conduct both quantitative and qualitative research, providing a solid foundation for their dissertations. Forensic Psychology delves into the psychological aspects of criminal behavior and how psychological principles are applied within forensic settings. In Criminal Justice, Courts and Prisons, students critically examine the workings of the criminal justice system, exploring issues such as securitization, sentencing, and global perspectives on crime control and justice system reform. Policing and Investigative Psychology focuses on how psychology aids law enforcement, particularly in investigative interviewing, offender profiling, and understanding decision-making in criminal investigations. The Health, Crime & Punishment module evaluates the intersections of health, crime, and punishment, with a focus on how various social factors such as race, gender, and disability influence criminal justice interventions.
