COURSE CURRICULUM

The program offers a comprehensive exploration of international business management, aimed at developing both theoretical and practical understanding. The Academic Practice in Business module is designed to enhance students’ academic skills, covering writing, presentation, critical evaluation, and debate in a cross-cultural context. This prepares students for the academic rigors of the program. The Key Management Concepts module provides an overview of contemporary management principles and their application across various sectors, offering practical insights into the challenges modern managers face. The International Business Strategy module equips students with the tools to analyze and evaluate business opportunities and challenges in global markets, applying relevant theories to real-world multinational enterprise cases. Trade and the Multinational Enterprise focuses on the economic theories behind trade, foreign direct investment, and globalisation, helping students critically evaluate policy issues and research in these areas. In Management in a Globalised Context, students explore the effects of national culture on corporate culture, ethical demands in global management, and tools to address these challenges. The Managing the Multinational Organisation module examines the role of Human Resource Management (HRM) in multinational corporations, with a focus on cultural and institutional influences on HR practices. Management Analytics equips students with the tools, concepts, and machine learning techniques to manage projects effectively and apply data-driven insights. Finally, the MA International Business Management Project offers students the opportunity to apply the knowledge gained throughout the program to a specific business issue, demonstrating their ability to design and manage a business enhancement project while addressing complex challenges in real-world scenarios.
