COURSE CURRICULUM

The BSc Business Computing and Data Analytics program is structured over three years to build a strong foundation in information systems, business understanding, and data analytics, progressing towards advanced and applied study. In the first year, students develop core knowledge of how information and technology operate within organisations through modules covering information systems, business fundamentals, and information technology applications. The second year focuses on technical and analytical skill development, with compulsory modules in information systems analysis and design, database systems design and implementation, enterprise data analysis, and statistics and machine learning for business data analytics. These modules strengthen the ability to model business processes, manage and analyse data, and apply analytical techniques to real organisational challenges. In the final year, students complete an independent professional development portfolio that demonstrates applied skills, reflective learning, and career readiness in business computing and data analytics. Optional modules allow students to tailor their studies towards specific interests, including strategic information systems and enterprise project management, business intelligence, interaction design and user experience, or technology innovation management and entrepreneurship. This structured progression ensures graduates develop both technical competence and strategic insight, preparing them for careers in data analytics, information systems management, business intelligence, and related digital roles.
