You'll also gain practical experience in Prototyping and Scripting, focusing on the technical aspects of game creation.Year two builds on these skills by advancing your prototyping and communication abilities. Modules like Advanced Prototyping and Programming will deepen your technical understanding, especially in cross-platform development and user experience design. Game Cultures and Design Beyond Entertainment explores the intersection of games and culture, while Level Design and Gameplay Events introduces narrative structures and environmental storytelling. Professional Studio Practice 2 focuses on industry projects, enabling you to respond to real-world briefs and develop advanced prototypes in team settings.In the final year, you'll consolidate your learning with a focus on specialization. Advanced Level Design and Environmental Storytelling will deepen your understanding of storytelling in new mediums like XR, while Games Design Processes, Research, and Playtesting will help you manage professional projects and refine your research and testing skills. Professional Studio Practice 3 supports portfolio development and prepares you for the job market, and the Showcase Project allows you to create and manage a substantial game project, demonstrating the full range of skills you've developed.
