COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc in Biomedical Engineering provides an advanced and applied understanding of how engineering principles are used to enhance healthcare and medical technologies. In the first semester, students build foundational knowledge and practical skills through modules such as Drug Delivery and Targeting, Lab Techniques for Biotechnology and Biomedical Engineering, Biomedical Analytical Technologies, and Research Methods. These modules equip students with the analytical and laboratory expertise required to address challenges in biomedical engineering and biotechnology. The second semester emphasizes the design, application, and entrepreneurial aspects of the field, with compulsory modules in Product Design, Technological Entrepreneurship, Biomechanics for Biomedical Engineering, and a substantial MSc Project. The research project allows students to apply their theoretical and practical learning to a focused problem, often reflecting real-world biomedical engineering challenges, enhancing both their technical and research capabilities. Optional modules, including Advanced Biochemical Engineering, Advances in Biomaterials, and Basic Science and Regenerative Therapy, offer opportunities for further specialization, allowing students to tailor their studies to specific interests and career goals. Throughout the program, students gain experience in laboratory techniques, product development, biomechanics, and entrepreneurship, ensuring they are well-prepared for careers in biomedical engineering, healthcare technology, or for further academic study.
