COURSE CURRICULUM

The Advanced Chemical Engineering with Information Technology and Management MSc curriculum is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of chemical engineering principles while integrating essential skills in information technology and management. In the first semester, students focus on modelling chemical engineering systems and research methods, developing both theoretical knowledge and practical problem-solving abilities. They also engage in a substantial MSc project that spans both semesters, allowing for in-depth investigation of real-world engineering challenges. Optional modules in the first semester, such as mixing of fluids and particles, drug delivery and targeting, and process intensification, provide opportunities to specialise in areas aligned with personal interests and career goals. In the second semester, the program expands to include cloud enterprise resource planning systems, advanced process design and optimisation, and strategic management for construction and engineering, equipping students with technical and managerial expertise. Additional optional modules such as colloid science and engineering, product design, downstream processing, and clean energy, materials and sustainability offer further avenues to deepen knowledge in specific chemical engineering applications. The combination of compulsory and elective modules ensures that graduates gain a balanced skill set, integrating chemical engineering fundamentals, practical project experience, IT proficiency, and strategic management capabilities, preparing them to excel in diverse and evolving industrial environments.
