COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc Accounting and Finance program is structured to provide a comprehensive understanding of both accounting and finance, combining core modules with a range of optional subjects to tailor learning to individual career goals. In the first semester, students study foundational topics including corporate finance fundamentals, international financial accounting and reporting, management accounting for decision making, and professional skills for success. This provides a strong grounding in technical knowledge while also developing key employability skills. Students can further specialise by choosing an optional module such as financial markets and institutions or sustainability accounting and accountability, allowing them to explore areas of personal or professional interest. In the second semester, professional skills continue to be developed alongside optional modules that allow students to deepen their expertise in management accounting, financial reporting and analysis, applied corporate finance, financial statement analysis and valuations, sustainable finance, and data analytics for accounting and finance. The flexible structure ensures students gain both theoretical knowledge and practical skills, preparing them for careers in professional accounting, corporate finance, investment, and financial consultancy. By combining technical understanding with applied skills, the program equips graduates with the capabilities required to succeed in a rapidly evolving financial landscape and to meet the demands of global accounting and finance roles.
