COURSE CURRICULUM

The BSc Finance degree provides students with a comprehensive understanding of finance, accounting, and economics, combining rigorous academic study with practical application to prepare graduates for careers in the dynamic financial sector. In the first year, students develop a strong foundation in financial accounting, economics, quantitative business skills, law, ethics, and organisational behaviour, equipping them with essential knowledge and analytical abilities. The second year builds on this foundation with modules in digital technologies for finance, financial markets, corporate finance, accounting for management decisions, and financial statement analysis, alongside opportunities to explore optional subjects such as marketing, operations, and human resource management. Students also gain experience in contemporary business practices and develop critical problem-solving skills. The third year focuses on advanced finance topics, including financial risk management, portfolio management, multinational financial management, and ethics in finance and accounting, alongside a work-based project that provides real-world experience. Optional modules allow students to tailor their studies to areas such as behavioural finance, audit and assurance, corporate governance, business analytics, and strategic information management.
