COURSE CURRICULUM

The BSc Economics program provides students with a comprehensive understanding of economic theory, quantitative methods, and applied economics, preparing them for a wide range of career opportunities in business, finance, policy, and research. In the first year, students build a solid foundation in macroeconomics, microeconomics, and quantitative analysis while developing essential skills in data analysis, statistics, and responsible management practice. Optional modules in mathematics, accounting, law, and social sciences allow students to broaden their perspective and tailor their learning. In the second year, the focus expands to intermediate macroeconomics and microeconomics, econometrics, and sustainable economic development, with additional options in financial economics, international relations, and business management. Students further enhance their analytical, problem-solving, and practical skills through modules in programming, data analysis for management, and digital marketing. The final year allows students to specialise and apply their knowledge through optional modules such as applied econometrics, behavioural economics, financial economics, international trade, environmental economics, and corporate finance. Core modules develop research and communication skills essential for professional practice. Throughout the course, students gain a balanced mix of theoretical understanding, quantitative expertise, and practical application, equipping them to analyse complex economic issues, make informed decisions, and contribute effectively to organisations and society in a rapidly evolving global economy.
