COURSE CURRICULUM

The BSc (Hons) Psychology (Child Development) program provides an in-depth exploration of how biological, cognitive, social, and developmental factors influence human thought, emotion, and behaviour. This course offers a holistic approach to psychology, integrating multiple perspectives to give students a comprehensive understanding of human development from infancy through childhood. Students study core areas of psychology, including biological, cognitive, individual differences, developmental, social, and conceptual and historical issues, allowing them to see how these fields interconnect to shape behaviour. The program emphasizes understanding themes such as feelings, behaviour with others, thinking and communication, and learning and memory, providing a well-rounded perspective on child development. Through a combination of theoretical study and practical experience, students develop skills in research, critical thinking, and evidence-based analysis, enabling them to investigate psychological phenomena in real-world contexts.
