Criminological Research Methods equips students with the skills to design and conduct research, forming the foundation for the Criminology Dissertation, where independent investigation is carried out on a chosen topic. Critical and Justice Issues in Criminology explores key debates and challenges within criminal justice systems. Modules such as Explaining Violence and Psychology and Crime examine the psychological and social factors that contribute to criminal behaviour. Terrorism and Radicalisation Studies and Transnational Organised Crime focus on global security issues and the complexities of cross-border criminal activity. Beyond the Headlines – Global Crime in Focus encourages critical analysis of current events and media representations of crime. Crime, Risk and Prevention addresses strategies for reducing crime and enhancing community safety. Gender, Victimisation and Crime explores how crime affects different groups, while Modern Slavery, Human Trafficking and Organised Crime highlights serious global human rights issues. Wildlife Crime, Security and Conservation examines environmental crime and its wider impact.
