The Human Rights and International Conflict MA includes a diverse range of modules that provide both theoretical understanding and practical insight into global justice, peace, and security issues. History and Theory of Human Rights explores the development of human rights ideas and their philosophical foundations. The Human Rights and International Conflict Research Dissertation allows students to conduct independent research on a chosen topic, applying critical analysis to real-world issues. Human Rights and the International Order examines how global institutions and legal frameworks promote and protect human rights. International Conflict Resolution focuses on methods of preventing, managing, and resolving conflicts between states and communities. Citizenship and Social Justice addresses equality, rights, and participation within societies. Humanity in Peril: Navigating Security Concerns explores global security challenges and ethical dilemmas. International Relations: Theories and Challenges introduces key approaches to understanding global politics. Public and Diaspora Diplomacy and The Practice of Diplomacy examine diplomatic strategies and international engagement. Religion and International Relations explores the role of faith in global politics. Security Studies and US Foreign Policy in the 21st Century analyse global power dynamics and security issues. Violence Against Women: Issues, Research and Policy focuses on gender-based violence and policy responses. Together, these modules prepare students for careers in human rights, international relations, policy, and advocacy.
