The program’s modules provide a comprehensive foundation in Arabic language teaching by combining cultural knowledge, linguistic understanding, and practical teaching experience. Arab World Studies introduces students to the historical, social, and cultural contexts of Arabic-speaking regions, helping them appreciate the diversity of the Arab world. Arabic Linguistics and Cultures focuses on the structure of the Arabic language and its cultural dimensions, enabling students to understand how language and culture interact. The Arabic Language Teaching Practicum offers hands-on teaching experience, allowing students to apply theoretical knowledge in real classroom settings and develop essential teaching skills. Issues in Language Learning: An Intercultural Approach explores how cultural differences influence language learning, encouraging students to adopt inclusive and adaptable teaching strategies. Language Testing and Assessment (Arabic) equips learners with the ability to design and evaluate assessments that effectively measure language proficiency. Materials Design for Teaching Arabic focuses on creating engaging and appropriate teaching resources tailored to learners’ needs. The MA Arabic Languages Teaching module and final project support independent research and critical analysis within the field. Together, these modules ensure that students gain the knowledge, skills, and practical experience required to teach Arabic effectively across diverse educational contexts.
