COURSE CURRICULUM

The Law (with International Relations) LLB (Hons) program is structured over three years and combines core legal education with the study of global politics and international issues. In Year 1, students build a strong foundation in essential areas of law through modules such as Administrative Law, Constitutional Law, Contract I, Criminal Law I, English Legal System, Land Law I, Law of Tort I, and Legal Method, developing key analytical and legal reasoning skills. In Year 2, the course expands to include both advanced legal subjects and international relations topics, with modules such as Contract Law II, Criminal Law II, Land Law II, Law of Equity and Trusts I, Law of the European Union I, and Law of Evidence, alongside international-focused subjects like Modern Diplomacy, Peace and Conflict, Theories of International Relations, Politics of the Middle East, Sustainability and Environmental Justice, and The Politics of the European Union. Students also enhance practical and research skills through advocacy and legal research modules. In Year 3, the program emphasises specialisation and independent study with modules including Civil Law and Practice, Criminal Litigation, Law of Equity and Trusts II, Law of the European Union II, and a Law Dissertation or Research Essay. Students can also explore advanced topics such as International Security Studies, Human Rights, Public International Law, and Conflict Resolution. Overall, the course develops strong legal expertise alongside global awareness and analytical skills.
