COURSE CURRICULUM

The Computer Science BSc (Hons) program is structured over three years to build a strong foundation in computing and develop advanced technical skills. In Year 1, students are introduced to essential concepts through modules such as Computer Hardware and Software Architectures, Fundamentals of Computing, Information Systems, Logic and Mathematical Techniques, and Programming, providing a solid understanding of how computer systems function. In Year 2, the course advances into more specialised areas including Data Structures, Databases, Software Engineering, and Cloud Computing, alongside modules on Smart Data Discovery and professional and ethical issues, helping students develop both technical and analytical skills. In the final year, students focus on cutting-edge topics such as Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Distributed and Cloud Systems, Mobile Applications, and Formal Languages. They also complete a major project that allows them to apply their knowledge to real-world challenges, as well as career development learning to enhance employability. Overall, the program combines theoretical knowledge with practical experience, preparing graduates for a wide range of careers in computer science and the technology industry.
