COURSE CURRICULUM

The Marketing (including foundation year) BA (Hons) program is structured over four years, beginning with a foundation year and progressing to advanced marketing and business study. In Year 0, the Foundation Year program helps students build essential academic skills, confidence, and a basic understanding of business concepts to prepare for undergraduate study. In Year 1, students develop core knowledge through modules such as Learning Through Organisations, Managing People in Organisations, Media Culture and Society, Practice of Marketing, Principles of Management, Principles of Marketing, Understanding and Managing Data, and Understanding the Business and Economic Environment, providing a strong foundation in how businesses and markets operate. In Year 2, the focus shifts to applied and strategic marketing with modules including Business to Business Marketing and Sales, Consumer Insights, Digital Marketing, Marketing Communications, and Sustainability, Business and Responsibility, alongside practical learning through consultancy and work-based experiences. In Year 3, students advance to higher-level strategic and analytical study through modules such as Strategic Marketing, Brand Management, Corporate Communications, Artificial Intelligence and Big Data in Business, and Global Marketing and Sales in the Digital Age, culminating in a Consultancy Project or Dissertation. Overall, the program develops creative, analytical, and professional skills, preparing students for successful careers in marketing and related industries.
