COURSE CURRICULUM

The Business Management BA (Hons) with foundation year is structured to develop students’ academic, analytical, and professional skills across four years. In Year 0, the foundation program prepares students for degree-level study by building essential academic abilities. In Year 1, students gain a broad understanding of business fundamentals through modules such as Business Law and Ethics, Financial Accounting, Principles of Marketing, Data Analysis, and Digital Business Management, alongside exploring organisational behaviour and the wider economic environment. Year 2 expands on this knowledge with more specialised topics including Leadership, Project Management, Global Business Strategy, Operations and Supply Chain Management, and Sustainability. Students also develop practical experience through consultancy practice, research methods, and community-based learning, while having the option to study a language. In Year 3, the focus shifts to advanced management concepts such as innovation, strategy, and critical management thinking. Students complete a major dissertation or consultancy project, allowing them to apply their knowledge to real-world business challenges. Additional modules include Artificial Intelligence in Business, Brand Management, and Financial Decision Making. Opportunities for professional placement further enhance employability. Overall, the course equips students with a wide range of skills for successful careers in business and management.
