COURSE CURRICULUM

The Business Management and Marketing BA (Hons) with foundation year is structured over four years to develop students’ academic, business, and marketing expertise. In Year 0, the foundation program helps students build essential study skills and confidence for degree-level learning. In Year 1, students are introduced to core business concepts through modules such as Business Law and Ethics, Financial Accounting, Principles of Marketing, Data Analysis, and Digital Business Management, alongside understanding organisations and the wider economic environment. Year 2 focuses on more specialised marketing and management topics, including Consumer Insights, Digital Marketing, Marketing Communications, and Global Business Strategy. Students also develop practical skills through consultancy work, research methods, leadership training, and community-based learning, while having the option to study a language. In Year 3, students engage with advanced subjects such as Marketing Planning, Brand Management, Social Marketing, and Strategy in Online Communities, alongside business strategy and innovation. They complete a dissertation or consultancy project, applying their knowledge to real-world challenges. Additional modules in artificial intelligence and financial decision making enhance their skill set, while placement opportunities further improve employability. Overall, the course prepares students for careers in business and marketing.
