COURSE CURRICULUM

The Marketing BA (Hons) program is structured over three years, progressively developing students’ understanding of marketing and business concepts. In Year 1, students build a strong foundation through modules such as Learning Through Organisations, Managing People in Organisations, Media Culture and Society, Practice of Marketing, Principles of Management, Principles of Marketing, Understanding and Managing Data, and Understanding the Business and Economic Environment. These modules introduce key ideas about how organisations function and how marketing operates within them. In Year 2, the focus shifts to more applied and analytical topics, including Business to Business Marketing and Sales, Consumer Insights, Digital Marketing, Marketing Communications, and Sustainability, Business and Responsibility. Students also gain practical experience through consultancy work, problem-solving modules, and learning through work opportunities, helping them connect theory with real-world practice. In Year 3, students engage with advanced and strategic areas such as Strategic Marketing, Brand Management, Corporate Communications, Artificial Intelligence and Big Data in Business, and Global Marketing and Sales in the Digital Age. The course culminates in a Consultancy Project or Dissertation, allowing students to specialise and demonstrate their knowledge. Overall, the program equips students with a broad range of practical, analytical, and strategic skills for careers in marketing and business.
