COURSE CURRICULUM

The Business Management and Human Resource Management BA (Hons) course modules are designed to develop both business knowledge and people management skills over three years. In Year 1, students build a strong foundation in core business areas, studying modules such as Principles of Management, Marketing, Financial Accounting, and Digital Business, alongside understanding data and the wider economic environment. They also explore how to manage people within organisations, introducing key human resource concepts. In Year 2, the course becomes more specialised, focusing on leadership, project management, organisational design, and consultancy practice. Students also study areas such as risk management, finance, sustainability, and business law, while gaining practical experience through work-based learning and problem-solving activities. Additional topics like international negotiation and inclusive organisations help broaden their understanding of global and diverse workplaces. In Year 3, students engage with advanced subjects including labour market issues, cross-cultural management, business strategy, and innovation. They also complete a dissertation or consultancy project, allowing them to apply their knowledge to real-world challenges. Optional modules provide exposure to creative industries and specialised sectors. Overall, the program equips students with a balanced skill set for managing both businesses and people effectively.
