The MA in Strategic People Management and Practice is structured around a set of core modules that combine academic study with professional application, ensuring students develop the skills and knowledge needed for advanced HR and people management roles. The program begins with Developing Inclusive, Personal and Business Ethical Behaviours, alongside Strategic Equality, Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging, which encourage ethical awareness and inclusive practices. People Management and Practices in a Changing Business Context and Strategic People Management and Developing Performance provide a comprehensive understanding of how HR functions adapt to evolving organisational needs and how performance can be enhanced through effective people strategies. Managing People Recruitment and Developing Talent focuses on attracting, retaining, and developing skilled staff, while Managing and Leading Employment Relations explores approaches to fostering positive workplace relations. Organisational Development, Change and Strategic Reward examines how reward strategies and change management contribute to long-term organisational success. Research is a key element of the program, with Business Research in People Management and Practice – Research Methods and the Literature Review and Professional Inquiry module giving students the opportunity to engage in independent, in-depth study. Collectively, these modules prepare graduates for senior HR roles and CIPD accreditation, blending strategic insight with applied practice.
