COURSE CURRICULUM

The BSc (Hons) Business Management at Liverpool John Moores University provides a comprehensive understanding of core business principles while developing practical and analytical skills essential for a successful career in management. In the first year, students gain foundational knowledge across operations and technology management, marketing, economics, accounting and finance, global business management, and academic skills, preparing them for the challenges of the modern business environment. The second year builds on this foundation with modules in digital business management, managing people and organisations, managing processes, managing finance, and managing data and information, alongside employability skills to enhance career readiness. Students also have opportunities to undertake a study semester or year abroad or a sandwich placement, gaining international exposure and professional experience that enhances employability. In the final year, the focus shifts to advanced strategic and leadership skills, with modules in project management, sustainable management and ESG, leadership and change management, and strategic management. Optional modules such as a dissertation or business consultancy project allow students to specialise and apply their knowledge to real-world scenarios. The program integrates theoretical learning, practical application, and professional development, equipping graduates with the skills, confidence, and global perspective needed to pursue management roles across a wide range of industries and sectors.
