COURSE CURRICULUM

The BA (Hons) Law, Business and Management at Liverpool John Moores University is a multidisciplinary program designed to provide students with a strong foundation in both legal and business principles. In the first year, students develop essential knowledge in areas such as tort law, economics, global business management, operations, and technology, alongside professional development skills that prepare them for the demands of the workplace. The course emphasizes independent learning and the development of critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving abilities. In the second year, students build on this foundation by studying commercial law, international trade law, maritime law, and legal skills focused on access to justice, while also learning about managing people, processes, and organisations. Opportunities for practical experience include a sandwich year or study abroad, enabling students to gain international exposure and real-world understanding of the interplay between law and business. The final year focuses on advanced topics such as company law, intellectual property law, law and artificial intelligence, and strategic management, including sustainable management, ESG, and leadership. Throughout the program, students develop analytical, ethical, and managerial skills, preparing them for diverse careers in corporate law, business consultancy, management, compliance, and other professional roles at the interface of law and business.
