COURSE CURRICULUM

The curriculum is structured over three years. In Year 1, students cover foundational modules such as Introduction to Psychology, Research Methods in Psychology, and Professional Development. Year 2 builds on this with advanced topics including Cognitive Psychology, Social Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Biological Psychology, and Individual Differences, plus a professional placement module. Year 3 focuses on specialised areas like Applied Psychology, Mental Health, Forensic Psychology, and a major Research Project. Students also undertake advanced research methods and can choose optional modules based on interests, such as Health Psychology or Counselling Psychology. Throughout, emphasis is on practical skills, including data analysis using software like SPSS, ethical research practices, and presentation skills. Assessments include exams, essays, reports, presentations, and the final dissertation. The program ensures alignment with BPS requirements, incorporating both theoretical knowledge and applied learning experiences.
