COURSE CURRICULUM

The curriculum is structured over three years. In Year 1, students cover foundational modules including Introduction to Forensic Psychology, Research Methods in Psychology, and Core Psychology topics like cognitive, social, and biological psychology. Year 2 builds on this with advanced modules such as Psychology of Mental Health, Applied Forensic Psychology, and further research skills, including quantitative and qualitative methods. Students also undertake professional placements to gain practical experience. In Year 3, the focus is on specialized topics like Major Crime Investigation, Offender Rehabilitation, and a final-year research project or dissertation. Elective modules may include Counseling Psychology or Neuropsychology. Throughout the program, emphasis is placed on ethical issues, victimology, and the role of psychology in legal processes. Assessment methods include exams, essays, presentations, and practical reports, ensuring a balanced evaluation of theoretical knowledge and applied skills.
