COURSE CURRICULUM

The Digital Media Production degree provides a structured pathway for developing both creative and technical expertise in the media industry. In the first year, students focus on building a strong foundation with modules such as professional development, essential skills, digital storytelling, and an introduction to the importance of creative industries, alongside exploring different platforms, genres, and formats. The second year develops these skills further through advanced modules in professional development, digital content creation, and advanced production techniques. Students also begin to specialize by choosing options such as factual or fictional content creation, audio and podcasting production, or advanced storytelling, allowing them to align their studies with their creative interests. In the final year, the emphasis shifts towards professional practice and independent creativity, with a work-based learning module and a final creative project that showcases their skills and vision. Students can also choose from a range of specialist modules, including science fiction and story, TV and social media, advanced audio and podcasting production, or fandoms and franchising, which explore niche but highly relevant areas of the industry. By the end of the program, graduates are prepared with the professional, creative, and technical skills necessary to thrive in television, streaming, and digital media careers.
