The Hospitality Management program offers a diverse and practical curriculum aimed at developing students’ skills for a career in the hospitality industry. In the first year, students gain foundational knowledge through modules such as Professional & Academic Skills for Hospitality, which focuses on developing both academic and professional competencies for success in the field. The Hospitality Industry & Society module explores the evolution of the hospitality sector, from guest hosting to providing personalized, sustainable services. Hospitality Consumer Behaviour dives into the psychological and sociological aspects of consumer behavior, helping students design effective marketing strategies. Finance & Revenue Management introduces students to financial management in hospitality, covering budgeting, financial statement analysis, and decision-making. Students also engage in Hospitality Operations, where they learn to apply supply chain management practices to food and beverage organizations, while integrating classroom theory with work-based learning.The second year builds on this foundation with modules like Delivering Hospitality Experiences, which focuses on enhancing customer satisfaction and shaping the guest experience. Corporate Events & Hospitality equips students with the knowledge to plan and execute corporate events, while Destination Management examines the relationship between hospitality management and destination planning. Product Development & Innovation looks at innovations within the hospitality sector, including food production and menu development. The Experience Design module enables students to focus on crafting memorable customer experiences, and Talent Development teaches responsible approaches to human resource management in the hospitality industry, from recruitment to training.In the final year, students undertake a Consultancy Project, working with industry clients to solve real-world hospitality challenges. Managing Risk for Hospitality focuses on risk management strategies, addressing issues such as crowd control and the involvement of local authorities in emergency situations. This comprehensive program equips students with the knowledge, skills, and practical experience needed to succeed in the dynamic and ever-evolving hospitality industry.
