Construction Communications and Application introduces digital tools and collaborative technologies essential to modern construction practices. Construction Technology explores the principles and processes used in commercial and high-rise building construction. Building Surveying Commercial Management provides practical experience in legal and ethical aspects of professional surveying. Contract Practice covers a range of construction contracts, focusing on managing cost, time, and quality. Interdisciplinary Practice simulates real-world collaborative project work, helping students develop team-working and role-specific professional skills. In the final year, Commercial Construction Management deepens understanding of financial drivers and economic factors affecting construction decisions. Facilities Maintenance Management focuses on the operation and efficiency of building services. Inter-Professional Consultancy involves a team-based real-life project, requiring practical problem-solving and sustainable thinking. Refurbishment and Conservation introduces techniques for adapting and conserving existing buildings, including historical structures. The course concludes with a Dissertation, allowing students to research a topic of personal interest in-depth, demonstrate independent thinking, and contribute to the field of construction and building surveying.
