The first School Placement and Practice gives you direct classroom experience and an opportunity to start applying what you've learned.In year 2, your focus expands to teaching across the wider curriculum. Embedding Curriculum Through STEM Subjects and Embedding Curriculum Through ARTS Subjects provide strategies for delivering science, technology, maths, creative and expressive subjects in an integrated and engaging way. Pedagogy, Policy and Philosophy: Becoming an Inclusive Practitioner helps you understand inclusion, diversity, and how to meet the needs of all pupils. A second School Placement and Practice builds on your earlier experience, giving you more autonomy and responsibility in the classroom.In the final year, the emphasis is on consolidating and extending your professional practice. Securing the Curriculum and Focusing on Broader Curriculum prepare you to manage and teach the full primary curriculum confidently. Pedagogy, Policy and Philosophy: Becoming a Research-Informed Professional encourages you to critically reflect on your practice through engagement with current educational research. The final School Placement and Practice provides the opportunity to demonstrate readiness for qualified teacher status by taking on a leading role in the classroom.
