COURSE CURRICULUM

The curriculum includes core modules such as Data Science Fundamentals, Statistical Learning, Data Mining, and a Dissertation project. Optional modules allow specialisation in areas like Bioinformatics, Environmental Data Science, or Health Data Science. Students will study programming in Python and R, database management, machine learning algorithms, and big data technologies. The program structure involves lectures, seminars, practical sessions, and group projects. Assessment is through coursework, exams, and the final dissertation, which involves an independent research project. Part-time students follow a similar structure over two years.
