COURSE CURRICULUM

The MRes in Management Science provides a comprehensive framework for developing advanced research skills and analytical expertise in management contexts. Core modules include Research Methods, Research Design in Management, and Searching for Information in Management Research, which equip students with the knowledge and techniques needed to conduct rigorous investigations. These modules focus on both quantitative and qualitative approaches, enabling students to collect, analyse, and interpret data effectively. Research and Dissemination Skills further prepare students to communicate their findings clearly and professionally, ensuring that research outcomes can inform decision-making and practice. The program culminates in the MRes Dissertation, a substantial independent research project that allows students to apply their learning to a focused topic within management science. This dissertation not only develops practical research experience but also encourages critical thinking, problem-solving, and the ability to generate evidence-based insights. Throughout the program, students engage with contemporary management challenges, applying theory to real-world scenarios and building a strong foundation for future academic or professional careers.
