COURSE CURRICULUM

The curriculum includes core modules such as Criminological Theory and Research, Criminal Justice Research, Research Projects and Methods in Action, and a Dissertation. Optional modules may include Gender, Violence and Society; Drugs, Crime and Society; Human Rights and Criminal Justice; Youth Justice; International Criminal Law; and Criminologies of Violence. The program emphasises both qualitative and quantitative research methods, with a focus on applying theory to real-world criminal justice issues. The dissertation allows students to undertake an independent research project on a topic of their choice, supervised by faculty. Teaching is through seminars, lectures, and workshops, with an emphasis on critical thinking and analytical skills development.
