COURSE CURRICULUM

In Year 1, you will study core modules including Environmental Processes and Systems, Global Environmental Challenges, and Biodiversity and Conservation. You will also take introductory modules in geology, hydrology, atmospheric science and aquatic biogeochemistry. In Year 2, modules include Environmental Data Visualisation and Analysis, Experimental Design and Analysis, Soil Science, and options like Catchment Hydrology or Energy Resources. Year 3 features a dissertation project and advanced modules such as Environmental Modelling, Sustainable Agriculture, Water Resources Management, and options in volcanology, conservation biology or climate change. The curriculum emphasizes fieldwork, lab work and data analysis skills. Optional study abroad or industry placement in Year 3 or 4 for four-year variants.
