COURSE CURRICULUM

The core modules of the Data Science Conversion MSc provide students with a comprehensive foundation in the essential skills and knowledge required to succeed in data science. Databases and Data Management introduces students to the principles and practices of storing, organising, and managing large datasets, ensuring they can handle data efficiently and securely. Data Analytics and Visualisation focuses on the analysis of complex data, teaching students how to extract meaningful insights and present them effectively through visualisation techniques that communicate findings clearly to different audiences. Applied Data Programming develops practical programming skills, equipping students with the ability to write code for data manipulation, analysis, and problem-solving using contemporary tools and languages. Machine Learning and Deep Learning provides a solid understanding of key algorithms and computational models, enabling students to design and implement intelligent systems for predictive analysis, pattern recognition, and automation.
