COURSE CURRICULUM

The curriculum covers core modules such as Molecular Biology of Cancer, Immunology and Immunotherapy of Cancer, Cancer Diagnosis and Therapy, and Research Techniques and Scientific Communication. Students undertake a substantial research project in the final stage, which may involve laboratory-based experiments, data analysis, or literature reviews on topics like oncogenes, tumour suppressors, metastasis, and novel therapies including gene therapy and personalised medicine. Optional modules might include Clinical Chemistry or Bioinformatics. Teaching methods include lectures, seminars, practical labs, and independent study. Assessment is through exams, coursework, presentations, and the dissertation. The program integrates current research findings and encourages critical thinking on ethical issues in cancer research.
