COURSE CURRICULUM

The Aviation Operations BSc (Hons) program develops industry-focused skills across three years, beginning with a foundation in aviation principles, maths and physics. In the first year, students explore key areas such as flight operations, human factors and aviation safety while gaining the scientific knowledge needed for advanced study. The second year builds on this foundation by introducing specialised modules in aircraft airworthiness, aviation logistics, cargo operations and flight data analysis. Students also enhance their problem-solving abilities through practical activities using flight simulators, which help them connect theoretical learning with real operational scenarios. Professional development is an important part of this stage, preparing learners for the expectations of aviation workplaces. In the final year, the course shifts focus to the commercial and strategic aspects of the global airline industry. Students study strategic planning, airline and airport operations, digital innovation and business management within aviation. They also undertake a major research project, which strengthens independent learning, analytical skills and industry awareness, and participate in a group project simulating real airline management challenges. Completing the program equips graduates with a strong understanding of operational, technical and commercial aviation practices, preparing them for diverse roles within the aviation sector.
