COURSE CURRICULUM

The Dance and Drama BA (Hons) program offers a structured and progressive learning journey that strengthens both performance skills and professional readiness. In Year 1, students build a solid foundation through modules that introduce key dance techniques, global performance cultures, and essential acting skills. They also learn how performance productions are planned and executed, gaining insight into backstage roles, technical processes, and collaborative workflows. Year 2 advances these abilities by focusing on devising original work and developing professional skills that prepare students for industry environments. Students refine their dance techniques, explore cultural contexts in greater depth, and enhance their versatility through modules that examine acting and directing for both stage and screen. Creative Practices encourages experimentation across disciplines, helping students develop a personal artistic voice. In the final year, students apply their accumulated skills in major performance projects, including Dance Company, Drama Production Project, and Dance Project, where they take part in creating and delivering high-level productions. Professional Practice further supports career preparation through real-world engagement, reflective learning, and skill-building tailored to theatre and performance industries. Across all three years, the program nurtures creativity, collaboration, critical thinking, and practical expertise, ensuring graduates are prepared for diverse career pathways in the performing arts.
