COURSE CURRICULUM

The program is designed to build strong intercultural and professional communication skills through a structured combination of core and optional modules. In September, students begin with three mandatory modules: Business Communication 1, which focuses on communication practices within workplace settings; Intercultural Communication in the Workplace, which examines how cultural differences influence professional interactions; and Comparative Social and Cultural Issues, which provides a broader understanding of global cultural contexts. Students may also choose the optional module Organisational Culture to deepen their understanding of how culture shapes business environments. In January, the curriculum continues with mandatory modules in Research Methods, Business Communication 2, which explores communication with external stakeholders, and Global Englishes and the International Workplace, addressing the role of English as a global professional language. Students can further tailor their learning by selecting optional modules such as Psychology for Marketing or Psychology of Leadership, both of which offer valuable insights into human behaviour in business contexts. The program concludes in May with the Dissertation in Intercultural Business Communication, a substantial research project that allows students to investigate an intercultural communication issue in depth. Together, these modules equip students with the analytical, communication, and cultural awareness skills needed for careers in international and multicultural professional environments.
