COURSE CURRICULUM

The program offers a structured blend of core and optional modules designed to develop both technical understanding and strategic business insight. In September, students begin with the mandatory module Databases and Information Systems, which provides essential knowledge of data structures and information management. They can also choose from a range of optional modules, including Information Systems Methodologies, Statistical Modelling and Analysis, Software Engineering Foundations, Competitive Strategy, Entrepreneurship and Creativity, and Strategic Innovation Management, allowing them to tailor their learning to specific interests in technology or business. In January, students study two core modules: Digital and Knowledge Economy, which explores how digital transformation influences global business environments, and Research Methods and Project Planning, preparing them for academic and professional research. Optional January modules, such as Big Data Management, e-Commerce Technology, Project Management, and Digital Marketing Analytics, offer specialised skills in emerging digital fields. The program concludes in May with the Masters Project and Dissertation, a substantial piece of independent research that enables students to apply their learning to a real-world or theoretical problem. Through this combination of core foundations, flexible options, and research experience, the program equips students with the skills needed for careers in IT management, digital strategy, and technology-driven business roles.
