COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc Human Resource Management program is structured to build strong foundational knowledge in HR while allowing students to develop specialist interests. In September, mandatory modules such as Digital Human Resource Management, HR Strategy and Practice, The Legal Context of Work, and Organisational Behaviour introduce students to the core principles of managing people, organisational systems, employment law, and behavioural dynamics within workplaces. These modules help students understand how HR functions operate in modern organisations and how digital tools and strategic approaches shape contemporary HR practice. In January, students continue with compulsory modules in Research Philosophy and Practice, Employment Trends, and Sustainable HRM, which equip them with essential research skills, an understanding of current developments in the labour market, and knowledge of socially responsible HR approaches. Students can further tailor their learning through optional modules such as Managing Diversity in Business or Psychology of Leadership, allowing them to specialise in areas aligned with their interests or career goals. The program concludes in May with the Dissertation in HRM, giving students the opportunity to conduct original research on a topic of their choice. This structure ensures graduates gain both theoretical understanding and practical skills relevant to today’s professional HR environment.
