COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc Fashion and Textiles Management program is structured to provide a thorough and progressive learning experience throughout the academic year. In the September term, students engage with mandatory modules such as Buyers Specifications and Performance Testing, and Design Thinking and Innovation, which build a foundation in both practical and strategic aspects of the industry. Optional modules during this term, including Textile Materials and Sustainability and Sustainable Design & Management, allow students to explore environmentally conscious practices and develop an understanding of sustainable approaches within fashion and textiles. The January term continues with mandatory modules such as Brand Management and Research Methodologies, which strengthen students’ skills in managing brands, conducting structured research, and analyzing industry challenges. Optional January modules, including Design Technologies and Business Enterprise, offer opportunities to enhance technical expertise and entrepreneurial capabilities, preparing students for professional practice. The program culminates in the mandatory May module, Masters Project: Academic Paper, where students undertake an independent research project, applying their knowledge and skills to a focused investigation within fashion and textile management. This structure ensures that graduates develop a combination of practical, analytical, and managerial skills, alongside an understanding of sustainability and innovation, equipping them to succeed as confident and capable professionals in the global fashion and textiles industries.
