COURSE CURRICULUM

The BSc (Hons) Business Management (with placement) programme is structured over four years and combines academic study with real-world business experience to prepare students for professional careers in a wide range of industries. In Year 1, students build core foundations through modules such as Business Economics, Running a Business, Academic Skills, International and Domestic Perspectives, Organisations and Markets, Work and Wellbeing, and Enrichment Activities, which develop essential understanding of business functions and environments. Year 2 focuses on applied business skills, including Selling, Negotiating and Networking, Finance and Accounting for Managers, The Digital Manager, Managing People and Workplace Success, and Marketing in Practice, along with optional modules such as Managing Change, Creativity and Innovation, and Managing Projects. Year 3 is a dedicated placement year, allowing students to gain valuable industry experience, apply academic learning in practice, and develop professional networks and employability skills. In Year 4, students progress to advanced study through modules such as Integrated Global Business, Sustainability and Business Ethics, Strategic Leadership, and Entrepreneurship and Adaptive Management, alongside a Dissertation that involves independent research. Overall, the programme develops strong analytical, leadership, digital, and strategic management skills, preparing graduates for careers in business management, consulting, entrepreneurship, and leadership roles in global organisations.
