These are supported by modules like Network Security, which develops the hands-on expertise needed to deploy and verify robust security solutions, and Secure Operations, which focuses on real-time threat detection and response within security operations centres.For those interested in offensive security, the Cyber Defence and Penetration Testing module introduces the tools and techniques used by ethical hackers to expose vulnerabilities. Students learn the penetration testing lifecycle and how to ethically exploit and then mitigate security flaws. In parallel, Cyber Forensics and Incident Response builds the necessary analytical and investigative skills for handling cyber incidents, including malware analysis and evidence collection.To underpin this technical learning, modules like Information Security Management explore the organisational and strategic dimensions of cyber security, focusing on risk management, resilience, and policy development.
