COURSE CURRICULUM

The Business and Management program provides a comprehensive understanding of global business dynamics, with a strong emphasis on international perspectives, sustainability, and responsible leadership. In Year 1, students begin with core modules such as Global Challenges for Business and Society, International Economic Issues and Challenges, and Principles of Marketing. They also explore Management Theory and Concepts, as well as Fundamentals of Managing People. Optional modules like Law in Business and Organisational Risk and Resilience allow students to broaden their knowledge of key business areas.In Year 2, the focus shifts to more specialized topics, including International Work, Organisations and Society, Fundamentals of Financial Management for Decision Makers, and Operations and Supply Chain Management. Understanding Data and Responsible Management and Practice provide further insight into managing business operations and making ethical decisions. Optional modules such as Social Media Marketing and Fundamentals of Financial Technologies allow students to dive deeper into current trends in business and technology.Year 3 is designed to build practical skills through modules such as Business Case Investigation, International Business Strategy, and Project Management. Students also explore Contemporary Employment Relations in the Global Economy and Sustainability, Corporate Responsibility, and Ethics (SCoRE). The program offers a valuable Work Experience Placement, allowing students to gain real-world experience. Students can further enhance their learning through optional modules like Marketing Analytics for Strategic Decision Making or Data Analytics, or by choosing a Professional Practice placement or Exchange opportunities.In Year 4, students complete core modules such as Graduate Talent Employability, Management of Innovation and Creativity, and the Honours Research Project, ensuring they are well-prepared for the workforce. Students can also specialize in areas such as Procurement, Global Social Entrepreneurship and Enterprise, and Strategic HRM in Contemporary Contexts through optional modules. This flexible structure provides students with the knowledge, skills, and experience needed to excel in the global business environment.
